I started my career in 2001 in the banking industry where I was responsible for end-to-end value chain finance with respect to primary agriculture, agro-processing, logistics and retail. This provided me with the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the agro-food value chain.
In 2009 I was offered the opportunity to join SABMiller where I successfully managed various sourcing portfolios and value chains of both SABMiller as well as ABI (bottlers of all Coca-Cola products). This provided me with the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in terms of managing operations and value chains on the African continent as well as across all other continents and countries in which SABMiller operated.
In 2013, I joined the VKB Group to act as CEO for various subsidiaries in the group and was responsible for supporting strategy development and execution across the group. As part of my responsibilities, I had to manage and support an oil crushing business, an animal feed division, a group logistics division, a grain milling division as well as a food retail division.
In 2016, I joined Value Chain Solutions in the capacity of Director, given my expertise and experience in value chain management, procurement, risk management, agro-processing and logistics.
