    • Agri News Net, together with farmingportal.co.za launched a marketing program on the two mediums to get international investments into our Agriculture in South Africa. Our delegation will speak to all the potential investors in various countries who indicated that they are interested. But most of them are not happy with the government of South Africa and the unrest in the country.
    • Over 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic have been produced since the 1960s. 40% of this output was for single-use and discarded packaging. To address the growing problem of plastic pollution, researchers have begun to investigate for methods for decomposing plastic.
    • The livestock and poultry industries, vital to South Africa's agricultural economy, face ongoing challenges from animal diseases. From 2022 to 2023, foot and mouth disease (FMD) impacted cattle, avian influenza hit poultry, and African swine fever affected pigs. While poultry and pig industries have somewhat recovered by late 2024, FMD continues to spread in cattle.
