Speaking on the new X-Class V6 launch, Mercedes-Benz said that the demand for mid-size double cabs with typical passenger car characteristics and comfort features has been steadily on the rise for years.

“At the same time, the number of double cabs for private use is increasing. They are no longer viewed purely as workhorses,” it said.

While the X-Class has proven to be popular in South Africa, the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux still dominate the bestsellers list.
